About Elven Guard

Elven Guard builds on key strengths of our Dengue Defender mosquito repellent and now with the only WHO-endorsed natural active (PMD), brings proven efficacy against a wide range of biting insects (like ticks, fleas, leeches, sandflys, midges, ants and many more) along with effective protection against mosquitos for 8+ hours upon a single application.

While Elven Guard’s arrival was a natural progression from the successful protection accorded by the Dengue Defender, it’s readiness and availability has been timely to young women and those expecting, coinciding with the recent and ongoing global epidemic of Zika that may be strongly associated with microcephaly (small heads) of new-borns.

From independent testing conducted at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in mid-2015, Elven Guard showed 100% protection against the Aedes aegypti mosquito (which spreads Dengue, Zika, Yellow Fever and Chikungunya) for more than 8 hours upon a single application and is now the repellent of choice amongst healthcare professionals in Singapore for their patients as queries and information increase on Zika through 2016.

In April 2016, Elven Guard started to accompany hikers with a view to climbing Mount Everest , quickly becoming a preferred repellent amongst expatriate trekkers in Nepal from humble beginnings at the Trekkers Medicine Concern Pharmacy in Kathmandu.

Through the first half of 2016, Elven Guard also began to scale Olympic heights with clear application guidelines that followed supply to the Singapore Olympic contingent (both athletes and officials) for training in Rio and subsequently to the games in Brazil 2016.

By June, Elven Guard had reached it’s most significant Olympic milestone becoming appointed as the official Olympic repellent to the Bahrain Olympic Committee for athletes, officials and supporters, and concluded on in Gulf News as ‘considered the best protection against the Zika virus’.

With the Zika outbreak in Singapore and Malaysia, Elven Guard featured on Channel News Asia as preferred repellent to healthcare providers.

Elven Guard is now supplied increasingly by retail in SouthEast Asia and Emerging Markets across the Tropics. If you are interested in stocking Elven Guard, please be in touch.

If you represent a non-profit organization with constructive activities to local communities in an endemic region for insect-borne diseases, please look to be in touch with us as we may be in a position to sponsor Elven Guard in support of your activities.

We all look forward to safer travel and living in this age of Zika!
